Church Partnership
There are two churches within the Parish. Bridestowe Methodist Chapel & St Bridget’s.
St Bridget’s has been the parish church for Bridestowe since the fifteenth century. Today’s congregation worships in ‘covenant’ partnership with the congregation of neighbouring Bridestowe Methodist Chapel, with a joint monthly service & frequent other events. There is a Sunday morning service every week at St Bridget’s (or at the Methodist Church on alternate months for a United Service).

Welcome to Bridestowe
Bridestowe is a village located within easy access of the Dartmoor National Park and is situated between Okehampton and Tavistock. The village has a number of stone and slate cottages, as well as a small amount of modern development. Bridestowe has it’s own village school, village stores and Post Office, Parish Church, Methodist Chapel and Village Hall. Bridestowe is steeped in history and records date back to 1641 . Bridestowe has a fantastic village hall which was completed in 2008 and the hall is available for booking. Further information on availability and booking rates can be found on the village hall booking & prices page.
The village has many different clubs/interest groups and regular activities are organised for all ages and interest groups. We also have a what’s on calendar with lots of various events scheduled! There is a business directory with some general information such as shop opening times!
